We have established a network with many foreigners, and are holding exchange meetings, so that they can be a bridge between foreign and local residents. We cooperate with local International Exchange Centre to support foreign community volunteer cleaning activities, classes for separate and put out garbage, disaster prevention trainings, bicycle manners, and guidance about other Japanese manners. When disaster occurs, we recruit foreigners who can actively participate in volunteer activities in the affected areas and contribute on volunteer activities cooperating with the ‘Disaster Volunteer Center’.
